What is “saw the threat and stayed” in Dota 2?
The information was there: the killers showed up on the map seconds before the fight. Instead of backing off, you kept farming or holding the lane.
How does the coach find this mistake?
The coach checks whether your team saw the killers at least a couple of seconds before the first hit and whether you retreated after that. Seen but no retreat means the information was ignored.
Why does “saw the threat and stayed” cost games?
This is the cheapest mistake to fix: the death needed no skill and no items to avoid, just a look at the minimap.

How it differs from similar mistakes
- Death without information
Death without info: nobody saw the killers before the fight and you had no wards nearby. Saw the threat and stayed: the killers showed on the map at least a couple of seconds before the first hit, and you had time to back off. Wards and positioning fix the first, glancing at the minimap fixes the second.
