How to fix “death without information”?
- 1Before walking into a dark area, check the minimap: how many enemies are visible and where they were last seen.
- 2Farm near your own wards and towers; take far camps only when you can see at least three enemies.
- 3Buy or ask for a ward covering the approach to where you farm, not the middle of the map.
- 4Keep a save (TP, Blink, BKB) ready whenever you stand without vision.

How the coach counts it
What is “death without information” in Dota 2?
You stood where the approaches were dark, and the enemies who killed you had not been seen by anyone. It is not bad luck: the position was dangerous before they showed up.
How does the coach find this mistake?
The coach checks who damaged you before the death, whether your team saw them before the fight and whether you had wards nearby. Nobody seen and no wards means a death without information.
Why does “death without information” cost games?
These deaths hand the enemy free gold and tempo: they come in without risk because they know nobody sees them. In the midgame one of them often costs a tower.

How it differs from similar mistakes
- Saw the threat and stayed
Death without info: nobody saw the killers before the fight and you had no wards nearby. Saw the threat and stayed: the killers showed on the map at least a couple of seconds before the first hit, and you had time to back off. Wards and positioning fix the first, glancing at the minimap fixes the second.
- Caught alone
Caught alone: the coach looks at your allies. Nobody was near you 3 seconds before the first hit, and your team lost two or more heroes. Death without info: the coach looks at vision, nobody saw the killers before the fight.
