How to fix “too few wards”?
- 1Buy wards whenever they are in stock and do not keep them in your inventory.
- 2Ward where your team will be in a minute, not where it already stands.
- 3Change ward spots if they get dewarded: a predictable ward does not live long.

How the coach counts it
What is “too few wards” in Dota 2?
Playing support (position 4 or 5), you placed observer wards less often than one and a half per 10 minutes. Your team looked at a dark map for most of the game.
How does the coach find this mistake?
The coach counts your observer wards and divides by match length. For positions 4 and 5, fewer than 1.5 wards per 10 minutes is too few.
Why does “too few wards” cost games?
Vision is a support's main resource. Without wards your carry farms blind and your team learns about the enemy only when the fight has started.

How it differs from similar mistakes
- Wards dewarded fast
Few wards: you placed fewer than 1.5 observer wards per 10 minutes. Wards dewarded: you placed enough, but enemies removed half or more, so change the spots.
