How the coach counts it
What is “missed objective window” in Dota 2?
After a won fight three or more enemy heroes were dead, you had three allies alive and time, but the team went back to farming and the window closed without a building.
How does the coach find this mistake?
The coach looks for windows where at least three enemies are dead for 15+ seconds, three of your team are alive and you are alive most of the window. No building or Roshan during the window and 20 seconds after means it was wasted.
Why does “missed objective window” cost games?
Kills alone do not win games. The enemy farms back the gold quickly, but not a lost tower or an Aegis.
How it differs from similar mistakes
- Aegis without buildings
Missed window: after a won fight your team took neither a building nor Roshan. Wasted Aegis: Roshan is down, but in the 5 minutes of Aegis your team took no buildings.
