How to fix “aegis without buildings”?
- 1Right after Roshan, pick the tower you will take and walk there as five.
- 2Play first with the Aegis: dive the tower while the enemy is afraid to fight.
- 3Do not carry the Aegis into the jungle to farm: its value is pressure, not extra camps.
- 4If the enemy hides, take the nearest T1 or T2 instead of waiting for them.

Roshan is dead and you have the Aegis, but your team split up to farm or waited for a better fight. Five minutes passed and the Aegis expired or burned in a fight without pressure on towers.
How does the coach find this mistake?
The coach looks at the 5 minutes after you picked up the Aegis: did at least one enemy tower, barracks or throne fall. No building means the Aegis was wasted.
Why does “aegis without buildings” cost games?
Roshan costs your team time and risk. The Aegis pays off when it turns into towers: an advantage the enemy cannot farm back.
How it differs from similar mistakes
- Missed objective window
Missed window: after a won fight your team took neither a building nor Roshan. Wasted Aegis: Roshan is down, but in the 5 minutes of Aegis your team took no buildings.
